José dedicated much of his life to building a Life Story that he aspired to but that was not his own. Learning from what he read in books, with the experience he acquired in the most varied tasks of life that he embraced with curiosity and resilience, he was exploring the world of business until he created his own company taking it across borders.
José, a solitary man, has always sought to make a difference in the world. He found in Art the best way to express himself. He painted what he did not say. He put on canvas what he felt. He improved his gift as he rethought his way of being in life.
The theme "Rethink the Way You Live" emerged in a very pertinent way in José's life around his 50th birthday when life brought him close to the death of who he wanted alive. This was also the theme that inspired him in the decoration of the Houses with Stories because it is one of the messages that José seeks to convey to those who pass by.
It was also at this time that José let himself be influenced by all the culture and teachings brought by the Wabi-Sabi, projecting them on his canvases, in his constructions and in his way of being in life.
Today, the Houses with Stories are the materialization of the life that José wanted to be his. They are the result of all his stories. They are the reflection of his soul.
